The City offers eligible employees health, dental, and vision coverage. Eligible employees may choose between multiple plans, allowing you to select the best option for you and your family. Health plans are available with UMR; dental plans with Delta Dental; vision plans with National Vision Administrators. Benefits are effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

The City of Waukesha strives to pay competitive wages. Most permanent part-time and full-time employees are eligible for annual pay increases, and many promotional opportunities are only open to current employees.

Retirement

Pension: The City of Waukesha participates in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), and the City matches employee contributions. Deferred Compensation: Employees may choose to participate in 457(b) plans, and may enroll at any time during employment with the City.

Waukesha Employee Health & Wellness Center

The Waukesha Employee Health & Wellness Center, operated by Everside Health, serves the City of Waukesha employees providing convenient and affordable access to health care. Staffed with a Board-Certified physician, Board Certified physician assistants, Board Certified health and wellness coaches and physical therapists, the Health & Wellness Center offers acute care, preventive care, chronic condition management, physical therapy and occupational health services. Eligibility - The Waukesha Employee Health & Wellness Clinic is open to:

  • Employees enrolled in the City’s health insurance plan
  • Pre-Medicare/Active retirees enrolled in the City’s health insurance plan
  • Dependents, including spouses and children over the age of 2, who are enrolled in the City’s health insurance plan
